Tracking and scan history
Tracking re-scans a brand about once a week with the same questions, and Scan history shows how its score moved.
What you'll get from this page
- Turn weekly re-scans on or off for a brand.
- Read the scan history and the score over time.
- Know what counts toward your monthly scans.
How tracking works
A tracked brand is re-scanned about 7 days after its last re-scan, with the same buying questions and market. That keeps scans comparable, so a change in the numbers is a change in the answers.
- The first brand you scan is tracked automatically.
- Re-scans run in a queue, so one can land a day or so late.
- A free account that hasn't signed in for 30 days stops being re-scanned until you come back.
- When a re-scan finishes and there is an earlier scan to compare with, we can email you a short summary of what changed.

- Last result
- Re-scanned, Re-scanned · emailed, Failed, Skipped or Not run yet.
- Fair use
- Each re-scan counts as one of your 20 scans a month.
- Several brands
- On the free plan, tracked brands are re-scanned one at a time per account, so extra brands can take longer.
Scan history
Scan history lists every saved scan of the brand, newest first, with Visibility score, Change, Rank and Named in. Open report opens that scan's full report.
- Visibility score
- A 0–100 summary of one scan, with the buying-question and broad parts shown under it.
- Change since the previous scan
- Shows after a second scan of the brand.
- Rank among brands
- By how many answers named each brand.
- Answers that name you
- A mention, not a link or a visit.
With two or more scans, Score over time draws the score for each scan, oldest on the left.
Visibility score vs visibility rate
Overview shows the Visibility rate: the share of answers that named you. Scan history shows the Visibility score: a 0–100 summary of one scan that also gives more weight to being named near the top. They usually move together, but they are not the same number.
Common questions
Can I re-scan right now?
Yes. Press Run a new scan at the top of any Visibility page and enter the same website. It asks the same locked questions and counts as one scan.
Does a re-scan tell me why something changed?
No. It measures the same questions again. For the before-and-after of each page you publish, see Results.
Can I re-scan daily?
Not automatically. Tracking is weekly.
