AI searches (fan-outs)
AI searches predicts the web searches AI runs behind your buyers' questions, and checks whether your site has a page for each.
What you'll get from this page
- Understand what a fan-out search is.
- Run a prediction and read which searches have no page yet.
- Know the limits: these searches are predicted, not captured.
What a fan-out is
Before an AI assistant answers, it often runs several short web searches of its own. This is called query fan-out. Those searches decide which pages it reads, so they hint at the pages your site should have.
In the sidebar this page is called AI searches.

Read the page
- Predicted searches
- How many searches we predicted, and for how many prompts.
- Have a page
- Searches one of your pages already answers, by matching its title, main heading or description.
- No page yet
- Searches no page on your site answers yet.
- Prompts covered
- Prompts with predictions, and when we last predicted.
Switch between List and Tree views. Each search has a copy button. A prompt AI already misses you on is a good place to start.
Which of your pages we check
We check up to 10 pages found by your latest site check, which runs on its own after each scan. Until it has run, we only check your homepage, so more searches may show No page yet than is true. Open Site check if it hasn't run yet.
Common questions
Is this the same as the Searches tab on a prompt?
That tab shows the real search our engine ran for the answer, plus the predicted searches for that prompt.
Does a page for every search guarantee a mention?
No. It makes it more likely AI can find a relevant page of yours. Whether an answer names you depends on many sources.
Does predicting use a scan?
No. It doesn't run a scan and doesn't count toward your monthly scans.
