Brands, agencies and clients
Track more than one brand, switch between them, and see which one needs attention first.
What you'll get from this page
- Add a brand, including a client's brand.
- Switch the brand every page shows.
- Use the Brands page to decide where to look first.
Add a brandabout 5 minutes
Every brand starts with a scan. Press Add a brand on Brands, or go to /scan, and enter its website. Each new website you scan becomes a brand in your account.
For an agency or consultant, pick A client under Who is this for? on the brand step. The setup then talks about “your client's brand”. Everything else works the same.
Switch the brand you're looking at
Every page in the app shows one brand at a time. Pick it in the brand switcher at the top of the sidebar. Manage brands in the switcher opens the Brands page.
With no brand picked, the app shows the brand you scanned most recently. After a new scan, it switches to that brand.
The Brands page
Brands lists every brand you track, with the ones that need attention first: lost sources, then out-of-date scans, then open fixes.
- Status
- Steady, Needs a look, Never scanned, or how many sources were lost. Needs a look means the scan is out of date, the score dropped, or fixes are waiting.
- Columns
- Visibility score and change, rank, open fixes, last scan and the Weekly re-scan setting.
- Sort
- Needs attention first, Highest visibility score, Biggest score change, Most open fixes or Most recently scanned.
- Per-brand links
- Open the latest report, or the brand's own results page from Results.
For agencies
One account, many clients
Scan each client's site once. Switch between them in the sidebar. Outcome: Each client's numbers stay separate.
Export for a client
Export prompts and sources to CSV from Prompts and Sources for your own client report. Outcome: Data you can put in your own deck.
Common questions
How many brands can I track?
The brand limit is set high while Spotlit is free. Your usage shows under Plan usage on Account. Every scan still counts toward the 20 scans a month.
Can I scan a competitor's site?
Yes, any public website. It becomes a brand in your account and counts as one scan.
Why does a page show a different brand than I expected?
Check the brand switcher in the sidebar. Every page follows it.
